Behind the Season

2020 Season Announcement:

The Oak Grove hasn’t missed a season since its opening in 1954 – but concern for the health and safety of our patrons and company members has to be our top priority.

After much discussion and review of recommendations from the CDC and the Governor’s office, and the concern/probability of a later resurgence of the COVID-19 virus, we have with great reluctance, decided we will not have a live performance season this year.

We will instead have a different kind of season – an online”Behind the Season” video series.

Production is underway for a virtual tour of the Grove, history, tall tales, short plays and music from the Grove. These online videos will be free to all.

Thank you all for your support. We look forward to sharing a new kind of season for 2020, and we especially look forward seeing you again in 2021 for picnics and theater “Under the Stars”.

  • To those loyal supporters who have already purchased season tickets, a special thank you! You will be receiving a letter/email about donation and refund options.
  • For notifications of “Behind the Season” free releases be sure to like or follow our Facebook and keep tabs on our website.
  • We are an all volunteer organization and the hundreds of folks who normally give their time, talents, and skills to community theater are now, wherever they can, helping our community at large as well as taking care of their own families and friends.
  • The Grove will still have many expenses and we hope our friends, current and future, will consider a tax free donation to help support and sustain the Grove through these difficult times for all.
