Heart, Humor, Unforgettable Honesty with ‘Terms of Endearment’ at Oak Grove July 30 to Aug 5, 2026

Published

July 30 - August 5, 2026 at Oak Grove Theater Terms of Endearment By Dan Gordon

A story that shines brightest on stage, Terms of Endearment brings the deeply human bond between Aurora and Emma to life with raw immediacy.

The fourth show of the Oak Grove Theater 2026 Season

Terms of Edearment

July 30-August 5, 2026

There are stories that entertain, and then there are stories that reach in and press gently on the places we keep guarded. Terms of Endearment is the latter. It is honest in the way it refuses to tidy up the messiness of love and grief, or pretend that family is ever simple. Aurora and Emma are flawed, stubborn, funny, and fiercely devoted, and that’s exactly what makes them recognizable. We’ve all loved someone like them. We’ve all been someone like them.

Bringing this story to the Oak Grove stage means embracing its intimacy. Among the trees and the open evening sky the audience becomes part of the world these characters inhabit. You hear the laughter differently. You feel the silences more deeply. The natural setting gives the play a kind of quiet courage and a reminder that life keeps moving: even through heartbreak, even through joy.
